How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!
Romans 10:14-15
Often people read this verse and conjure up images of "those in the ministry" without really looking at the whole verse. The "beautiful feet" belong to the people that go to strange places, eat strange foods, and live their lives way outside the American comfort zone, right? We don't think so. When we read this verse we conjure up images of all the people at home that God has called to support us through prayers and finances. It would be impossible to be here if they didn't send and we believe many people miss that bit of the verse; the senders have beautiful feet.
We need people who will partner with us in our ministry through prayers and financial support. Logistically we need the appropriate funds in order to effectively work overseas. More importantly for us, we need a covering of prayer on our work and family to strengthen us in both good and difficult times. We send out monthly email prayer updates and quarterly newsletters.
